March 9 is Hatsune miku appreciation day in Japan! This is because in Japanese the word for “3” can be pronounced as “mi” and “9” as “ku” so March 9 is Miku! Also though 3 can be pronounced “san” and 9 “kyuu” which equals San-kyuu….which sounds like Thank You! So Thank you Miku for being these coolest digital girl I know!

Its been 24 years since Baskin Robbins Japan had offered the awesome flavor of cherry blossoms! And now they are bringing it back. Sakuramochi as they call it will have a little hint of salt and actual sakura leaves in the ice cream. The flavor will be available from March 1 to the end of May for 360 yen (US$3.20). If you’re in Japan then let us know how it tastes.

The New Kamen Rider game, Kamen Rider Battride War Genesis will be celebrating The franchises 45th anniversary, and will have lots of Kamen Rider characters who starred in various Kamen Rider TV series. Bandai Namco Entertainment has started streaming A new promotional video you can watch below. The game will be available February 25th on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita. PS3 & PS4 will run 7,200 yen (about US$60) and Vita will be 6,100 yen (US$51), There will also be a limited edition version (Memorial TV Sound Edition)for PS4 and PS3 retails for 10,200 yen (US$86). The game looks super fun, I just hope it makes it to the states.

Last month Toyota debuted their “Prius! Impossible Girls” project, where 40 car parts are reimagined as cute girls. Oh Japan how I love you. The song in the promo below is “Shijō no Koe” (Test Drive Voices) produced by Oster Project with the Vocaloid GUMI. Check it out, super chaotic editing and you get to see the girl designs.
